Complementary PPE: protective sleeves
Protective sleeves are part of the personal protective equipment that enhances your safety at work. They are worn over your work equipment to provide additional protection. Depending on the model, your forearms are protected against cuts, abrasion, tears, liquid and oil splashes, and heat.

Which protective sleeves to choose?

For work in the food sector, our protective sleeves made from polyester, stainless steel and polypropylene offer many advantages. They are water- and oil-repellent, cut-resistant and approved for food contact.

Protective sleeves in polyamide, high-tenacity polyethylene and mineral fibers are mainly used in industrial production: cutting, handling, processing. They are particularly resistant to cuts, and their ergonomically knitted mesh provides excellent freedom of movement.

Some of our protective sleeves can withstand contact heat of up to 100°C.

And to protect you from cuts and puncture risks, our Rostaing leather cuffs are specially designed for handling sharp objects such as razor wire. Equipped with a technological knitted lining, they are even resistant to perforation and heat up to 100°C for metal and glass work.

What are the standards for protective sleeves?

European standards EN 388 and EN 407 govern the testing of protective sleeves. EN 388 applies to protective equipment offering good resistance to mechanical hazards such as cuts and punctures. EN 407 applies to PPE resistant to thermal hazards (heat and fire).
