Why opt for cryogenic gloves?

From the outset, Rostaing has always been interested in professions facing specific, sometimes even dangerous, working conditions. Today, our focus is on workers exposed daily to extreme cold and cryogenic liquids. In this field, the risk of inadequate hand protection is particularly high, even leading to 3ᵉ degree burns. Discover our CRIO range, our cryogenic gloves designed to offer optimum protection against cryogenic cold.

What is cryogenics?

Cryogenics concerns the creation and study of extremely low temperatures, below -150°C or 120 Kelvin, depending on the unit of measurement used. At temperatures below -153.15°C, air and various gases (such as nitrogen, carbon dioxide, etc.) are transformed into cryogenic liquids. Cryogenics focuses on the effects of cryogenic gases on different products, which can be modified by low temperatures or preserved for a long time, depending on their characteristics.

Cryogenics has a wide range of applications, from aerospace and the food industry to energy and healthcare. Handling cryogenic products requires adequate protection, as well as a working environment specially designed to ensure the safety of operators, notably with anti-cold protective gloves.

Rostaing's CRYO range: which pairs of cryogenic gloves will protect your hands from the cold?

As a manufacturer and designer of technical gloves, Rostaing is committed to specific, technical applications such as cryogenics. To meet these particular needs, we have developed a complete range of four products specially designed for the demands of cryogenics.

CRIO gloves

The CRIO long glove, made from high-quality materials, is specially designed to withstand extreme cold. It is ideal for laboratory handling of gases down to -196°C and for transporting cryogenic gases.

The pair of CRIOBC gloves

Made from high-quality materials, the CRIOBC short glove is specially designed to withstand extreme cold. It is ideally suited for laboratory handling of gases down to -196°C and for transporting cryogenic gases.

The GUETRECRYO overboot

These GUETRECRYO protective gaiters or overboots are specially designed for cryogenic handling in various sectors such as industry, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, laboratories and cleaning companies, offering resistance to extreme cold down to -196°C.

T.CRYO apron

Made from high-quality materials, the T.CRYO apron is specially designed to withstand extreme cold. It is perfectly suited to laboratory handling of gases or liquid nitrogen down to -196°C, as well as to transporting cryogenic gases.

All products in the CRYO range are essential to guarantee your safety or that of your employees. When you choose to work with Rostaing equipment, you can be sure of the quality, origin and durability of our gloves and complementary products, which are resistant to extreme temperatures such as cold and cryogenics.

Our CSR commitments

Rostaing's cryogenic gloves embody our CSR values and commitments. Made entirely in France, with the exception of the leather cuff from Italy, these gloves feature carefully selected raw materials. The leather, sourced from environmentally-friendly farms and tanned in France according to durability standards, ensures a resistant, water-repellent quality, guaranteeing exceptional longevity without hardening after drying. What's more, the renewable wool lining and regenerated aramid fleece add an ecological dimension to their design.

Production in Rostaing's Moroccan workshops reduces carbon emissions by almost 2,000 kilometers compared with production in France. Product features offer remarkable versatility, from protection against cryogenic cold to heat resistance up to 500°C, thanks to a waterproof membrane.

Finally, with a carbon score of just 10.8 kg eq. CO², these gloves perfectly embody Rostaing's commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.
